STATE CUP RULES are updated annually prior to the start of the competition. Of note, the brackets in ALL age groups shall not exceed 12 teams total (3 brackets of 4 teams each). Should more than 12 teams apply for an age group, or an odd number of teams apply (other than 2, 3, 4, 8 or 12) then Qualifying games shall be drawn per the rules linked above to determine those teams that shall advance.
Team Check-In:
In-person check-in no longer required. Rosters will be frozen and approved prior to the event.
Please have the following items on-hand for your matches:
- A correct copy of State Roster (can be provided by your club registrar if you do not have)
- Signed medical waivers for each player participating in your possession
- Fully Laminated Player Cards in alphabetical order for each player participating (remove players not participating)
- Fully Laminated Coaches Card for each coach (4 max per team).
6 & 10 Team Bracket play (only if needed):
In a 6 team division, 2 brackets of three are formed with a crossover for each team A1vB1, A1vB2, A1vB3. Each team player 3 group play games and then advance to a semifinal A1vA2 & B1vB2 and then a final. This method means that each team plays the same opponent unlike crossover games that may not be equal.
In a 10 team division, 3 brackets are formed a 4 team (A) and two 3 team (B&C) brackets. The four-team bracket is played normal, the two three team brackets play like above…each bracket puts forward a winner and then a wildcard is awarded to the next highest points getter. Again, all teams play each other equally.
